....is there some way that the new-style Fogonline can flag up forum threads that have received new posts? I've posted three new installments of 'Rescuers' this week, but there's no way of seeing that from the forum home page. Or is there and I hadn't noticed?

Hi Gherkin!

The recent posts at the top thing was a function of Post Nuke which, as you can see, we ditched because it kept getting hacked. I badly want to replace it and I'll be hunting for a mod to do just that as soon as. Please bear with me, I'm learning phpbb as I go.

More when I get it sorted.

Drutt.

Just to add my two-penneth: I apologise for having done NOTHING at all with regards phpBB. The PostNuke site was primarily my work and the sense of doom and despair brought on by having to junk it has got in the way of my contributing to the new look. I will eventually get around to brainstorming a new design with Linda, but the forums are going to be largely her domain.

Drutty - If you can find a mod that produces a syndicated RSS feed or something, that might work. I'd like to put a good ol' fashioned XML page at the front (base fogonline domain) and could plug in any forum-monitoring widgets there if we can find some.

PS. Why is the forum code turned off? Is there a reason or can I switch it back on? (Is it even off on anyone else's screen?)

I think the title there says it all. Go to fogonline.com to see the latest 10 posts in all their scrolly glory.
A long awaited feature. Smile

EDIT : I got annoyed at the scrolling, it doesn't do that anymore.

Woot? That's brilliant, Fish:-) It looks distinctly Picasso-esque on my tytn though...perfectly usable nonetheless.

It would have been easier if I hadn't discovered when I sat down to implement it that my PHP reference book went into storage a while ago! Confused
Thank Bob for the internet. It's wonderfully self-referential that the code, and the basics of how to implement it, came from the same media that it was intended to be used on. Smile

Crud. I'm sure this was working last time I checked it, but apparently no longer... Confused

EDIT: Fixed now, I had somehow got it to ignore posts in the CCG Forum. Whoops. Embarassed
